The immersive experience reveals optical relationships which are harder to come by when working from a photograph. The sensorial interaction between artist, canvas and motif passing back and forth through an unhindered imagination can result in paintings with unrepeatable vivacity.
Our artists take advantage of the white surface allowing it to operate as the light. Mixing their colors from primaries, based off the chosen motif, each palette is unique and harmonious.
In the effort to capture fleeting moments in nature this requires rapid execution and sacrifice to render the essential. We do not distinguish between sketch paintings and finished paintings as we consider all our work to be cohesive and complete in which the entire surface is activated and brought to life.
